As some of you may have noticed by my lack of participation last week, I'm probably not going to be a TOT participator every week. Sometimes the questions strike me and I feel like I could write answers that are remotely interesting and maybe a tad humorous and sometimes they don't. When I looked at this week's questions, I noticed that one of the questions asked about a subject that I literally was going to write an entire blog post about, so I figured I could join in this week. So here goes:
1. What’s your favorite kind of donut?
I'm definitely a classic glazed donut gal. There's just no beating that flaky, sugary goodness.
2. Do you use the snooze button?
2. Do you use the snooze button?
Yes, Yes, Yes! I purposely set my alarm 10 minutes earlier than I actually need to get up JUST so I can snooze one time. Love me some snooze!
3. Do you write in cursive, print, or a combination of the two?
3. Do you write in cursive, print, or a combination of the two?
I tend to write mostly in print, but occasionally I'll write in cursive and usually when I do, I mix some print letters in because I can't remember how to write certain letters in cursive!
4. Tell us a joke.
4. Tell us a joke.
Two snowmen are standing in a field. One says to the other, "Funny. I smell carrots too."
5. How many languages do you speak?
5. How many languages do you speak?
I know about 10 words in spanish. Does that count? Ok, I guess not. Then one.
6. Why did you start blogging?
6. Why did you start blogging?
I've always read blogs and been interested in them. I love the whole community of bloggers. I like to write and I enjoy taking pictures. I figured a blog would be a good place to share those things. I also wanted to document things my children did and since I'm the world's worst scrapbooker, baby-book-keeper, I thought a blog would be the next best thing.
7. Do you use bar soap or liquid body wash?
7. Do you use bar soap or liquid body wash?
Bar Soap
8. Do you buy bottled water?
8. Do you buy bottled water?
Not really. I use the water dispenser in my fridge. Occasionally my husband will go a little off the deep end, when they forecast a hurricane coming our way, and buy cases of bottled water. That usually lasts us until the next hurricane season.
9. What did you think of the Super Bowl Half Time Show?
9. What did you think of the Super Bowl Half Time Show?
Ok, I was going to write an entire post about this and ran out of time today. So this answer might be a little long-winded. I'll try to keep it short & sweet. Bottom line: When the "music" and I use this term loosely you make relies so heavily on studio technology & electronic voice-changers/tone correctors it just doesn't work live. It just doesn't. Fergie should never be allowed to sing outside of a studio. I did like the dancers with all of their light-up unitards, but again, I think it was just a distraction so we wouldn't notice how out of tune & awful the singing was. Blech, Blech, Blech.
10. How do you feel about Steve Carell leaving The Office?
I have to be honest and say that I didn't know he was leaving. I'm not a huge follower of the show, but I have watched many episodes and have laughed hysterically at every one. I'm not sure why I never started recording it. Just too many shows on that Recording List. But from what I have seen of it, I don't think it's going to work without him. He is the hub of the wheel for that show. It's just not gonna be the same.
