3 Months

My "newborn" baby isn't much of a "newborn" anymore. He's quite the "big boy" actually. The difference between his 1st & 2nd month "white chair" pictures isn't all that apparent but I think you'll see it in this one. He's a bit of a chunk and I could not love his rolls more! I wish he had more of them! He continues to be such a joy and is contantly making me laugh with his newfound expressions.

What he's up to these days:
  • He can roll over from his stomach to his back.
  • He likes his "tummy time" & he spends it trying to roll over.
  • He has recently discovered his tongue & is finding all kinds of faces to make using it.
  • He loves to be in his swing & could sleep in it for hours.
  • His favorite thing to do when he's awake is to lie under the hanging toys on his activity mat & grab at them.
  • He has started to try & put toys in his mouth and chew on them.
  • He has moved from the cradle next to our bed, to his crib in his room and is actually sleeping better than he was in our room.
Check out his 1 month picture here & 2 month picture here.

Snug as a Bug in a Rug

I have been anxiously waiting on a package to arrive,

and it came today.

Some new snuggly wraps for the Ty Man.

Couldn't wait to get them out of the package & into here:

so they could smell a little like this:

Check out the size of this thing!

Snug as a bug in a rug baby in a swaddle...

...and lovin' it!

These swaddle wraps really are amazing. I have been wanting these since I found them before Ty was born. I finally got around to ordering them and I'm so glad I did. They are very thin & lightweight. The size is awesome, so you can really get them good & wrapped up tightly. And let's not forget the adorable designs & colors they come in. If you have a baby, are going to have a baby, or know someone who is, these things are a must have. You can find them here.

Could it be true??

Oh my! Have you heard the news?? That empty seat on the American Idol Judge's Table left when Paula Abdul turned down millions of dollars to return to the show because that just wasn't enough money ahem will be filled with none other than Ellen! I could not be more excited. Yes, it really does only take that to make me happy! I love Ellen. I record her talk show every day, even the reruns. I can literally just look at her and laugh out loud. She doesn't even have to say anything. Watching her dance up & down the aisles of her audience is the best! I can only imagine the things she will say to the contestants of AI and I can't wait. Too bad she won't be joining them until after the initial auditions. Boy, she would have been hysterical during those first rounds of crazies they have coming through there! I am a bit of a reality TV junky and I will admit even though this may make you think differently of me that I have been really bummed to see the end of Big Brother coming near. It's been my addiction all summer, on 3 nights a week, and now it's almost over. But this news almost wipes away that sadness because now I can look forward to seeing Ellen on AI in the near future! Now if they would just get rid of that Kara character...

Maybe she's born with it...

...Maybe it's Maybelline

Or maybe it's a crock of "you know what."
I mean, really! As if a vibrating mascara wand is a good idea. It's hard enough to put mascara on with a perfectly still wand. I can't imagine that thing vibrating right up next to my eyeball. Mark my words...someone will poke their eye out with that thing, blame the vibration of the wand, and sue Maybelline.
And let's talk about the false advertisement. So, let me get this straight...if I use your special, magic vibrating mascara wand, I will have lashes that look like that!? Well move out of my way while I run out to the store and grab me some of that! Where is the legislation that says you can't sell me something based on false claims. I know, I know...they get around that by never actually claiming that your lashes will look just like that if you use their product. No, they just show them growing exponentially before our eyes and only show women with these ridiculous false lashes on their commercials for the fun of it. It has absolutely nothing with leading us to false expectations...nope, not at all.
So I actually decided I would test my theory that there is no way my lashes would ever look like those on their ads if I used the product, and guess what....I was wrong. They actually look JUST like the ones in the commercial. Check it out:

Now you better rush to the store & grab you some before I buy it all up!

Oh How I Love Fall

I love Fall so much that I am willing it to be here right this second by changing the look of my blog to have a Fall feel. You like? Well I do. I love all things Fall. These past few mornings we've had of cool weather and by cool, I mean not 90 degrees have made me really ready for Fall to be here. I can't wait for the sights, sounds, & smells of Fall. So in hopes that the Fall look for my blog may make Fall actually arrive sooner, I present my new look. A girl can hope, right?
